Positions available

Position: Field Service & Support Manager Class Instructor

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £48,000 per annum (OTE)

Status: Full Time, Permanent

Description: The role involves teaching a four day, multi-disciplined class to managers from hi-tech global corporations.  The Field Service and Support Manager classes include topics such as leadership, strategic planning, logistics, operations and financial management, decision-making and staff development and performance management in relation to support centre and field service organisations.  In addition to delivering classes, the role will also include assisting with sales and client management.

The successful candidate will be trained to teach each of the classes offered by SGSA Limited.

Requirements: Applicants must have worked as a senior support manager in either a hardware/software or field services department of a major corporation and have had experience of managing large teams of support analysts or service engineers.  The successful candidate will be required to travel regularly in the UK and occasionally abroad and may therefore need to stay away from home on a regular basis.

Previous teaching experience is expected and a higher degree in business is preferred.  The interview process will include preparing for and then teaching a module in a public class.


Position: Financial Controller

Location: Hertfordshire

Salary: £12,000 per annum

Status: Part Time, Permanent

Description: The role involves managing multi-currency customer and supplier invoices, monthly payroll processing, quarterly VAT returns and debt collection.  Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their knowledge of a small business' compliance with P11D, P60 and P44 processing, PAYE, NI contributions, stakeholder pensions and other accounting regulations.  The successful applicant will be required to work ten hours per week.  The company is flexible on the times and days worked.

Requirements: Applicants must have experience in bookkeeping using QuickBooks 2008 and be able to produce management reports of pipelines, profit and loss statements, trial balances and cashflow forecasts.

Previous experience is expected and a formal accounting qualification is preferred.
